The range of affected areas and severity can be great when it comes to a stroke, but we have skilled registered nurses and caregivers who can help establish and carry out treatment and recovery plans to best manage you or your loved one’s symptoms and complications.

A typical plan may include:

• Assisting with walking and transferring (i.e., moving from bed to chair, chair to toilet)

• Helping with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and ambulation

• Educating you or your loved ones of the symptoms that require immediate medical attention (i.e blurred vision, inability to move a limb, or difficulty speaking)

• Maintaining a customized exercise program, designed either by a professional doctor or physical therapist to tackle any one-sided weakness and help regain flexibility while preventing contractures

• Reinforcing strategies for verbal and non-verbal communication
